With a little of Hollywood’s South Pacific in the flattering sarong skirt, and a hint of the English lady in the elegantly tailored top, ‘Mabel’ is a dream of a forties dress.
‘Mabel’ has a wealth of beautiful, feminine, forties detailing. The ruffle of the waterfall wrap skirt can both conceal problem areas and lend sweeping curves to those who previously had none. The darted waist can be cinched in with the integral bow tie belt at the back, or worn looser for a softer fit. Lots of tiny fabric buttons adorn the centre front of the dress and two more shape its gently puffed sleeves.
